Meet Your HR Expert!
Hello! I am Finisha I. Bennett the founder of Stoney Landing Solutions. We are a consulting firm specializing in Human Resources and Career Coaching.
We strive to help small business owners avoid the pitfalls and legal risks by educating, training, and providing tools/resources. Below is a list of claims the EEOC (The Equal Employment Commission) received in the fiscal year 2019. In the same year, more than $3.7 million was recovered in litigation filed by EEOC in the same year.*

These stats are important because it tells me that if some of these companies had the proper processes combined with knowledgeable personnel they could have avoided these legal sagas.
As for me, I fell in love with the Human Resources profession my freshmen year at the University of South Carolina. Go Cocks! This love affair has been rewarding for the last two decades as I have continued to learn more and more in this ever-changing profession. In 2019, I started working on my plans to open the firm as I finished my Masters of Jurisprudence from Tulane University School of Law. What I or no one else could have planned or prepared for is a pandemic! During this incredibly difficult time of crisis, it is more important than ever to have a partner who is knowledgeable in the field of human resources with the ability to work with you and your team to complete your HR functions.
Our firm is here to provide helpful HR solutions. Let us take the workload off your desk as we care for your employees as they are our own. The subject matter expertise that we provide helps our clients with HR processes, including but not limited to handbook/policy creation, HR audits, training, and HR compliance. Stoney Landing Solutions works with each client to deliver solutions to meet the specific needs and goals of the business.
In addition to HR consulting services we also provide career coaching for individuals who need assistance with job searching, resume review, and interview preparation. To have a trained professional help you through the process of finding that ideal position is a priceless investment for your future.

The Why?
Why I opened the agency and why working with Stoney Landing Solutions is an excellent idea.
It all began with an idea growing up on Stoney Landing Road at eleven when I started my first business. I sold candy to my classmates weekly. Just like my love for the Human Resources field at the time I was in love with selling candy. I loved the amazing process of supply and demand. The demand was for candy to pre-teen and teenage middle-schoolers trying to get through a school day. Recess was my busiest time and I had the supply for the demand. I was always there when they needed me most.
Human Resources is also a field with high demand. During the open enrollment period, massive hiring, end of the year requirements, and so on, HR professionals are needed. I wanted to create Stoney Landing Solutions to provide that supportive “extra-set” of hands to small businesses in a time of need. I’ve been there and know how important the work of an HR department is for the employees and the business. Don’t allow work to pile up or spend an enormous amount of time researching subjects. Let us help you with solutions!
The small business owner
Title VII of the Civil Rights act of 1964 applies to employers with 15 or more employees when it comes to sexual harassment. Hiring an attorney to represent your business when an investigation or lawsuit is received is extremely costly even if you don’t go to court. The average cost for a small business to defend and settle a claim is $160,000, according to Hiscox's representative claims data. -Nov 15, 2017 *
The Solution
Training should be in place for all employees and special training for supervisors. Employers should have a written anti-discrimination policy that is shared with all employees. Employers should have some method in place for employees to confirm receipt of the policy. Employers should have a process in place for employees to report discriminatory behavior.
